Miyi La Cubanita Cuban Cafe in Boca Raton is a gem for those seeking authentic Cuban cuisine away from the bustle of Havana. Nestled at 1332 NW 2nd Ave, this modest, mom-and-pop cafe delivers a genuine taste of Cuban culinary traditions, combining rich flavors with a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The cafe’s standout dish, the Cuban Sandwich, or Sandwich Cubano, exemplifies the essence of this Cuban eatery. Made with classic Cuban bread that is perfectly crisped and pressed, it captures the ideal balance of savory roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard. Complementing the mains are options like “3 Eggs with Potato and Toast,” spotlighting a hearty Cuban breakfast fueled by simple, fresh ingredients.

The menu extends beyond sandwiches to embrace traditional comforts like hand-crafted tamales filled with well-seasoned roast pork, offering a nod to Latin American culinary heritage. For those who enjoy lighter fare, the grilled chicken and steak salads deliver freshness with a homemade dressing, making them a worthy alternative without compromising flavor.

Miyi La Cubanita’s space is reflective of a classic Cuban café, recently remodeled to blend Latin vibrancy with a relaxed dining environment. Soft Latin music enhances the experience, inviting guests to savor not only the food but the culture behind it. A counter sip of Cuban coffee with hot milk is a ritual here, grounding the visit in tradition.

This restaurant best suits those who appreciate authentic, homestyle Cuban dishes delivered with care, whether for breakfast or leisurely lunch. It appeals to anyone eager to explore traditional Cuban flavors through familiar dishes prepared with genuine ingredients. The food ordered was excellent. Great chicken breast sandwich on classic Cuban bread, heated and flattened. A side of tostones was mouth watering, with the garlic sauce. And the side of potato salad was as bland as bland could be. Someone forgot to put any seasoning in it. Had a shoe of Cuban coffee with hot mil at the counter while waiting for food. When there the AC was not working. No way I would go there and sit at counter or a table and that is unfortunate. No one wants to go to a restaurant and sweat while eating.

Slightly difficult to find, as the sign is low on the building front, so look for the giant rooster, and you're there! Food was fabulous and the service second to none. Great little Mom and Pop place that is a must visit for Cuban food, without the trip to Havana!

This place is amazing, I love their breakfast. I have been here twice and the attention is great and the food has good flavor. The place was just remodeled and the atmosphere is great with Latin music.
